Second semester Juniors with a cumulative  unweighted GPA of 3.9 or a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.1 for Freshman, Sophomore and the first semester of Junior year will be offered an opportunity to apply for membership in the National Honor Society (NHS).  A completed application needs to be turned in in order for the student to be considered for NHS membership. The application asks about extracurricular activities.  Specific NHS community service of up to 3 hours in the fall and 3 hours in the spring of senior year are required -  this is separate from other school-based community service obligations.
