Annie Marshall by Dee Vlasak, Visual Arts Teacher
Annie Marshall was born and raised on a farm in Casseneuil, France. She went to the University of Toulouse for her Masters degree in Plant Biology. She was a plant breeder for an international seed company in France before accepting a job in Gilroy where she met her husband.
They moved back to France and Annie spent two years with another seed company as a breeder. She got her Masters in Education and teaching credential at UCSC in 2000 and has worked at PCS ever since.
Annie taught eight grade Science for two years at PCS while teaching French.
Every summer she returns to France to visit family and restore her 1880s barn. She also travels to visit her son who is attending medical school in Spain.
In her free time, Annie likes to go sailing, read, hang out with friends, and help her daughter on her organic farm. Her favorite book is Le Petit Prince.
